Gloria Elizabeth Marks was an extraordinarily faithful member of New Hope Fellowship of Eunice. She was an invaluable part of children’s church; where she taught in that ministry for over 20 years. She loved the children of New Hope Fellowship. They affectionately called her “Miss Gloria”. She had an infectious smile that would light up any room. She would willingly help anyone without hesitation. She enjoyed chocolate, butterflies, being outdoors and spending time with family. Family was important to her and she was the epitome of what a mother, daughter, sister, and friend should be.
She is survived by her daughters, Alivia Marks Burgess and husband Alexander and Katlyn Marks all of Mamou; mother, Anette Guidry and stepfather James of Mamou; birth mother, Mary Jane Schexnider of Lafayette; brothers, Corey Marks and wife Amanda of Scott, Russell Marks and wife Cassey of Washington; and Danny Guidry and wife Samantha of Mamou.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Marks; grandparents, Ernest and Dorothy Granger, Saul and Sable Marks, Wilda Schexneider, and J.D. and AnnaLois Guidry.
