MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 11:00 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, January 15, 2021 for Diana Fontenot, 69, who passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in Alexandria.
Father Bala Rayapati will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Diana, born in Mamou, on June 22, 1951 to the late Milton “T-Boy” and Dale Fuselier Landreneau. Diana was a wonderful singer and participated in the church choir. She was a graduate of McNeese State University and she worked as a nurse in Oakdale for many years. In her pastime she enjoyed reading cookbooks and trying new recipes.
She lives on through her only child, Lance Fontenot and his wife, Candy, their two children (her grandchildren), Isabella and Sofia; her sister, Penny Soileau of Mamou; her uncle, Dr. Paul Glen Fuselier of New Orleans; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended relatives.
Diana is preceded in death by her husband, Rovelia Paul Fontenot and her parents, Milton “T-Boy” and Dale Fuselier Landreneau.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 10:00AM until time of service.
