MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Wilfred Guillory, 72 announce his passing on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 4:50 pm at the Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Platin Cemetery in Platin with Father Mark Melancon as Celebrant.
Wilfred will be greatly missed by his wife of 26 years, Trudy R. Guillory of Mamou four sons, Roderick Guillory of Oskosh, WI, Carl Guillory and wife Starr of Prairieville, Adam Doucet and wife Vicky of Ville Platte and Anthony Doucet of Clinton three daughters, Sheila Illescas and husband, Rene of Spring,TX, Sandra Brazan and husband, Frank of Vacherie and Cynthia Balfa and husband Tim of Breaux Bridge three brothers, Terry Vasseur and wife Shirley of Porter, TX, Terry Guillory and wife, Beverly of Pine Prairie and Donald Wayne Guillory and wife, Catherine of Pine Prairie one sister, Sally Soileau and husband, Robert of St. Landry eighteen grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
Wilfred will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Chester Guillory and Evangeline Granger Guillory, his Stepmother, Lilly Mae Guillory and two brothers, Roger and Lee Ray Vasseur. Their Reunion will surely be a joyous one.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm The Funeral Home will reopen on Tuesday from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday evening..
