MAMOU Warren Pierrotti went to be with our Lord in Heaven. He passed peacefully at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice on July 21, 2014 at 9:16 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou with Father Mark Melancon main Celebrant and Father Thainese as Concelebrant.
Mr. Warren was a Veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy He was a retired Postmaster after 34 years of service and was Mayor of Mamou serving 16 years in office.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather and friend, Warren leaves behind his wife, Diana B. Pierrotti of Mamou six sons, Kenneth Mark Pierrotti of Gretna, Stephen Warren Pierrotti of Gonzales, Carl Mitchell Pierrotti of Eunice, Warren Chip Pierrotti of Baton Rouge, John Scott Pierrotti of Summerville, S.C. and Luke Latour Pierrotti of Ragley two daughters, Gwendolyn Pierrotti of Abita Springs and Jill Allison Schoeffler of Eunice two stepsons, Eric Soileau of Reddell and Jody Soileau of Mamou two stepdaughters, Suzanne Duplechain and Sara Miller both of Mamou. He was further blessed with thirtytwo grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren. They were the absolute light of his life.
He will now rest in Heaven with the mother of his children Helen LaTour Pierrotti, one daughter, Melissa Denise Pierrotti, his parents, Willie and Ozilma Aucoin Pierrotti, three brothers, Burke, Horace and Johnny Pierrotti and two sisters, Gayle Johnson and Evelyn Fuselier.. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. The Funeral Home will reopen on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 8:00 AM until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Wednessday evening at 6:00 P.M. by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
A Military Service will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. by the Mamou American Legionnaires Post 123.
