MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Vorance Glyn Fontenot, 69 announces his passing on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 11:06 am at Post Acute Specialty Hospital of Lafayette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou.
Vorance will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Donna Fontenot of Vidrine three daughters, Melissa Leroy and fianc, Tony Ventura of Fall River, MA, Jessica Dixon, and Mary Norris and husband, Chase, all of Vidrine four brothers, Donald Wayne Fuselier and wife, Margie of Mamou, Lloyd Robert Fuselier and wife, Karen of Baton Rouge, Clyde Fuselier and wife, Peggy of Crowley and Mark Fuselier of Mamou one sister, Angela Grismley and husband, Allen of Houston, TX five grandchildren, Zachary Glyn Leroy, Ty Austin Norris,
Jacob Ryan Dixon, Jesalyn Nicole Dixon and Brandon Dale Norris.
Vorance will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Eyven Fontenot and Martha and Harry Fuselier. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 8:00 am until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm on Tuesday evening.
