Mamou It is with great sadness that the family of Vernice Bondick, 94 announces her passing on Friday, October 30, 2009 Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in St. Anns Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann Cemetery.
Vernice was a retired head cook at Savoy Medical Center and was a member of Ladies Alter Society at St. Anns Catholic Church. A loving mother, sister, grandmother, Vernice will be lovingly remembered by her son, Joseph Silton Bondick of Lee Summit, Mo; a daughter Helen Bondick of Lake Charles; two brothers, John Terry Deshotels and Joseph Louis Deshotels both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Lester Campbell of Turkey Creek, Virginia Fontenot of Lake Charles, and Mary Sonnier of Elizabeth; fifteen grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren; sixty two great great grandchildren, and four great great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tenais Bondick; one brother, Jeffery Deshotel; and one sister, Duna Mae Kibadeaux.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Sunday, November 1, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.
Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou is in charge of arrangements.
