Stoney Blood

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2020 for Stoney Blood, 56, who passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 in Turkey Creek, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.

Brother David Plunkett will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in Griffin Hill Cemetery.

Stoney is survived by his loving wife, Diana Smith Blood; his children, Cody John Blood, Lexie Blood, Tiffany Ann Blood, and Kayla Marie Contreras and husband, Tyler; seven grandchildren, Brooklyn Johnson, Rosalie Contreras, Isabella Contreras, Justin Manuel, Jr., Olivia Blood, Callie Doucet, and Jacob Doucet, Jr., brothers, Chris Blood and wife, Debra Ann, Clinton Blood and wife, Glenda, Farley Blood and wife, Kathy, Ray Blood and wife, Joyce, and Charles Blood and wife, Sheila; and sisters, Faye Book and husband, Jimmy, Patricia Laborde and husband, Dale, and Davina Deville and husband, Brian.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Blood and Geneva Thrasher Blood; sisters, Mary Lou Dupre; and brothers, Walter Blood and Tim Blood.

At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
