Steven "Steve" Fontenot

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Fontenot, who left this world on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on January 21, 1965, in Mamou, Louisiana, Steven lived a life defined by love, dedication, and simplicity. He thoroughly enjoyed his days working at Young's Tire, a family-owned business. He took pride in his work and was dedicated to his trade. His impact was immeasurable, and his example is everlasting.

Funeral Services will be held to honor Steven's life and legacy on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. For those wishing to pay their respects, visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 1:15PM. A rosary will be recited at 1:15 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate a man who touched the lives of many through his warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. He will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Steven was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Melissa Fontenot, with whom he shared 31 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Steven's greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Whether attending their sports events or simply enjoying their company, he was their biggest fan and a reliable source of support and guidance.

Known for his love of the outdoors, Steven found peace while cutting the grass. His passion for nature extended to his time at the camp, where he relished the tranquility of the surroundings and the opportunity to connect with loved ones. His enthusiasm for watching wrestling provided a source of entertainment.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Fontenot and Anna Pitre Fontenot, and brother, Danny Fontenot.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Melissa "Missy" Fontenot; sons, Jordan Savoy (Samantha) and Cade Fontenot (Sabrina); daughter, Abbi Fontenot; grandchildren, Kamryn Dupuis (Evan), Maddi Savoy, Jase Savoy, Gus Landreneau, and Keegan Fontenot; one great grandchild, CJ Dupuis; brother, Mitch Fontenot (Pam); and sister, Tammy Fontenot.
