MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, January 19, 2018, for Stephen "Pâté" Scott Manuel, 51, who passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his brother's residence surrounded by his family.

Father Billy Massie, Pastor at St. Ann's Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.

Burial will take place in the Reeds Cemetery in Mamou.

Stephen and his brother farmed rice and crawfish in the L'Anse Meg area. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles and loved anything mechanical. Stephen was full of life. He never met a stranger and his friends "were just like family''. Stephen was like a father to his godchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved hunting, frogging, cooking, and was an avid Saints fan. One of his many accomplishments was being named Most Outstanding Honorary Fireman. He made it possible for all fire department events to be a success.

He is survived by his Dad, Nolan Wendell Manuel and companion Judith Rougeau of Mamou; Mom, JoAnn M. Reviere and companion Jimmy D. Bourque from Sunset; sister, Sheila M. Doucet and husband James Bryant Doucet of Church Point; brothers, Tiqua Manuel and fiancé Mischa O'Connor of Mamou and half-brother Nolan Paul Manuel of Chataignier; godchildren, Michael Scott Manuel and Cassandra Mayline Manuel; and his nieces and nephews.
Stephen is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nolan J. Manuel and Earlie Mae Ledoux; and paternal grandparents, Willard Fontenot and Clara Fontenot.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 9:30 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Ben Soileau at 12:00 PM.

Pallbearers are Michael Scott Manuel, Bryce Burleigh, Phillip Burleigh, Bobby Bellard, Kyle Spears and Trevor Deshotel.
