Stephanie “Totsy” Feucht, a cherished member of Mamou, Louisiana, passed away on August 16, 2026, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by loved ones. Born on July 10, 1953, in Mamou, Stephanie’s life was a testament to compassion, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and her faith.
A proud graduate of Mamou High School, Class of 1971, Stephanie’s early years in her hometown shaped the values that guided her throughout her journey. Driven by a calling to serve others, she pursued and earned her associate’s degree in nursing, embarking on a career that reflected her deeply caring and nurturing nature. As an LPN at both Savoy Medical Center and Moosa Memorial Hospital, Stephanie was known not only for her clinical skills but for the warmth, patience, and kindness she extended to all her patients. Her sense of duty was rooted not only in professional excellence but also in genuine love for those she cared for, a love that left an enduring mark on many.
At the heart of Stephanie’s life were her family and her strong Catholic faith. She was a woman devoted to her daughter, Tiffany Soileau, and took immense pride in both her daughter and her grandson, Liam Soileau. Her family-oriented spirit was visible in all she did; Stephanie’s nurturing presence was a guiding light for those around her, and her independence and strength were evident in all the roles she gracefully balanced.
Stephanie was predeceased by her beloved parents, Llewellyn and Lillie Feucht; her sisters, Patricia Feucht, Delores "Tudy" Tabor, and Margaret McCoy; her brother, Stephen Feucht; and her grandson, Ethan Soileau. Though she mourned their loss, she cherished their memories deeply and kept their legacy alive in her heart.
She is survived by her loving daughter Tiffany Soileau and husband Derrick, her devoted brother Gerald Feucht and wife, Rita, and her treasured grandson Liam Soileau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Their lives were brightened and enriched by Stephanie’s encouragement, gentle wisdom, and unconditional love.
Apart from her professional and family endeavors, Stephanie was known for her signature flair—her love for perfume and shopping meant that friends and family often recognized her arrival by her perfume that lingered in the air. A devout Catholic, she found comfort and joy in prayer, often turning to her prayer book and drawing strength from her faith community. She enjoyed watching Fox News and religious programs, reflecting her spirited independence and engagement with the world around her.
Stephanie’s compassionate, caring soul, her devotion to her family, and her strong, independent spirit will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate to know her. Her legacy endures in the lives of her loved ones and in every memory of her kindness, laughter, and unyielding love.
