Obituary

Sherran Vidrine, a caring woman whose life was centered on faith, family, and love, passed away on November 3, 2026, at Savoy Medical Center. She was born on January 31, 1945, in Mamou, Louisiana.

Sherran was a wife and mother her whole life, and those roles were at the heart of who she was. She was very dedicated to her Catholic faith and was a parishioner at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Her days were filled with the simple joys she treasured most: sewing and crocheting, shopping, taking cruises, and, above all, spending time with her family. She also cherished going to the movies with her late husband, Edward, who was her favorite person. Among the many memories her family will hold close are the treasured Christmas shopping trips she shared every year with her daughters.

She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to carry her memory forward. She is survived by her daughters, Angela Lirette and husband Donald, Melanie Berzas and husband Matt, Rachel Guillory and husband Allen, and Naomi Reed and husband Joey; her sister, Cathy Berzas and husband James; and her beloved grandchildren, Megan Willis, Daniel Lirette, Jed Berzas, Bethany Vincent, Lauren Lirette, Hannah Miller, Alaina Guillory, Ansley May, Myranda Benoit, Jonah Lirette, Landon Guillory, Kaleb Reed, and Christen Stroderd and 31 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Vidrine, and by her parents, Leroy Ortego and Berthalene Ortego.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and again on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Church, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Arockia Doss Palthasara. Entombment will follow at New St. Ann's Mausoleum.

Sherran Vidrine will be remembered for her caring heart, her deep faith, and the love she gave so freely to those closest to her. Her family and friends will hold her in their hearts with gratitude and affection always.
