Obituary

Sandra Fontenot, a native of Eunice and longtime resident of Reddell, passed away peacefully at her home on October 3, 2026, at the age of 76, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sandra was a Christian woman whose faith and love for her family were at the heart of her life. She had a special gift for making others feel welcome and loved, whether through her warm personality, her sense of humor, or the delicious meals she prepared. As the owner of Sandra’s Beauty Shop, she was an extraordinary beautician who took pride in her work and the many friendships she formed throughout the years. She also worked in guest registration and VIP relations at Coushatta Casino.

Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sandra loved cutting up with them, playing cards, and enjoying games of Phase 10 and Cadillac. She especially loved cooking for her family during the holidays, filling her home with wonderful food, laughter, and cherished memories. For Sandra, there was no greater happiness than bringing her loved ones together around the table.

Sandra leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children son Les Fontenot, daughter Chantelle Comeaux and her husband, Darrin; her grandchildren, Anglle, Brittany and her husband, Tim, Shyla, Brandy, and Brooklyn; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sarah, Blake, Alysa, Coby, Timmy, Mason, Gunner, Dextyn, and Bronx. She is also survived by brothers, Steve Faulk and his wife, Janet, and Keith Faulk and his wife, Christiana; and sister, Edith “Dee Dee” Eues.

Sandra is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Morris Fontenot; her parents, Bernard and Louella Fruge Faulk; brother, Timothy; and grandson, Destin Hail.

Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they will continue to carry her love in their hearts and find comfort in their faith, knowing that the memories she created and the love she gave will live on for generations to come.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Becky Lafleur conducting the services.
