MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Ruby Nell Chapman announces her passing on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. She was 59. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, August 12, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou at 2:00 pm, with Father Jude Thierry Celebrant. Burial will be in the Reeds Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry officiating.

A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Ruby is survived by her husband, Rollance Chapman of Ville Platte two sons, Chad Fontenot of Penscola, FL and Toby Fontenot of Ville Platte two brothers, Greg Manuel and Ray Manuel, both of Mamou two sisters, Tonya Godeaux and Mona Harwell, both of Mamou and five grandchildren.

She now rest in Heaven with her beloved mother, Lilly Mae Bertrand.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening.
