MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the passing of their beloved, husband, father ,brother, grandfather, greatgrandfather and friend,Ronald Boonie Lafleur, on October 28, 2010 at his residence, at the age of 68. Chapel Services will be Celebrated at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann Cemetery with The Rev. Bill Smith officiating.
He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his, wife, of 42 years Sherry Bertrand Lafleur, three sons, Darrell Guillory and wife Penny of Port Barre, Dwayne Lafleur and wife Kristy of Reddell and, David Shane Lafleur of Reddell one daughter, Davana Lafleur of Pine Prairie his mother, Gertie Fontenot Lafleur of Kinder two brothers, Gene Lafleur of Buna Texas and Sherman Lafleur of Kinder two sisters, Carol Ledoux of Kinder and Genevieve Smith of Indian Village twelve grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and two stepgrandchildren He was preceded in death by his father Marion Lafleur one brother, Charles Lafleur
Boonie, worked as a truck driver for Dupre Transport he drove 5 million miles accident free he also participated in Nationals with 6 State wins, and 3 grand champions.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm.and again on Saturday 8 am until time of services. Family and Friends may view the obituary and sign the guestbook online at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
