MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Roland Marcantel, 76 announces his passing on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the First Baptist Bieber Cemetery in Mamou.
Roland will be greatly missed by his wife, of 45 years, Barbara Acklen Marcantel of Reddell one daughter, Lana Marcantel Gulley of Reddell two grandchildren, Justin Gulley and Jacob Marcantel.
ToTo will now reunite in Heaven with parents, Basile and Amanda Marcantel three brothers, Clifton, Elson and Clarence Marcantel four sisters, Anna M. Deville, Edolia M. Mott, Dora Prudhomme and Pearl Douget one grandson, Hunter Trace Gulley.
Their reunion will surely be a joyous one..
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm
The Funeral Home will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 am until time of services.
