MAMOU – Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 AM Memorial Mass at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou, LA , on Saturday, December 04, 2021, for Robert “Bobby” Walker Steffen, 75, who passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021.
A Memorial Graveside service with military honors will follow at New. St. Ann’s Mausoleum.
Bobby was born on September 27, 1946, in Oakland, CA, LA to James and Emilie Fuselier Steffen. He was a longtime resident of Mamou. Bobby was a loving son to his mother, two sisters and brother Steven Craig Steffen, Yvonne S. Steffen, and Shannon Steffen Jagneaux. Bobby proudly served his country for sixteen years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He went all over the world and was so proud of his service to his country. He went to college to become a paramedic. After returning home Bobby went to work in the oilfield as a production operator until his retirement. He loved working on his computer, playing games on the computer, and gardening.
He is survived by his brother, Steven Craig Steffen of Eunice; sister, Yvonne S. Steffen of Eunice; fourteen nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews. Some called Bobby “Para” and others called him “Uncle Bobby.”
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Steffen; his parents, James Walker and Emilie Fuselier Steffen; and sister, Sharon Lynn Steffen Jagneaux.
