MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Roberta Guillory announces her passing on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. Chapel services will be held on Friday, March 09, 2012 at the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou at 2:00 pm. Rite of Committal will be in the St.Peters Cemetery in Pine Prairie with Father Richard Broussard Celebrant.

Roberta was a retired Nurses Aide from Oakdale General Hospital after 26 years of service. She loved to read, cook, and dye eggs for Easter. She also sat outside every afternoon to say her Rosary. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend will be greatly missed by her husband of 61years Clayton Guillory of Beaver Community one son, Michael Guillory and wife, Brenda of Warner Robins, GA two daughters, Kay Pittman and husband Paul of St. Francisville and Nancy Guillory and husband, Patrick of Eunice one brother, Herman Carrier of New Orleans two sisters Annie Deville and Lee Ester Webb both of Gramercy seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Laurent and Cecile Carrier two brothers, Willery and Wilbur Carrier and two sisters, Ethel Wyble and Verline Lafleur.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Thursday, March 08, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Friday, March 08, 2012 from 9:00 AM until Services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
