Robert K. Fontenot

MAMOU -- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert K. Fontenot, who was a lifelong member of the Mamou community. He passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the age of 61. Robert was born in Mamou, Louisiana on January 29, 1963 to Burley and Berna Fontenot.

Robert was known for his love of LSU sports and passion for motorcycles, Robert brought joy and enthusiasm to the Mamou community where he was cherished as a dedicated member. His kindness as an LPN reflected the pureness of his heart and his warm smile illuminated the lives of many.

He will be missed by his nephews, Josh and wife, Cora Manuel of Mamou, Ricky Deshotel of Mamou and Jacob and wife, Shannon Fontenot of Oklahoma; nieces, Mikelyn and husband, Casey Ardoin of Mamou, Christy Deshotel of Mamou,   Jessica Fontenot of Eunice, and Jamie LeBlanc. 

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Charles Fontenot, Richard Deshotel and sister, Sue Manuel.
