Mamou- Funeral services for Mrs. Byron Rita Soileau, 59, were held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 2:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church, with Father Bob Courville officiating. Burial followed in the new St. Anns Cemetery.

Rita, a resident of Mamou died at The Ville Platte Medical Center at 3:00 p.m. on June 25, 2007 after a four month courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Soileau is survived by her husband, Byron Soileau of Mamou; one son Jody Soileau of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Melissa Seibt and husband Scott, of Dallas Texas; her mother, Marjorie Pang of Mamou; one brother, Christopher Pang, of Baker, La; one sister, Phyllis Gomez and husband, Bill of Gonzales, La. two grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her father, Atney Deshotel
