Ricky Miller, beloved father, grandfather, and lifelong resident of Mamou, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026. Born on September 12, 1959, in Mamou, Ricky spent his years deeply rooted in the community.

Ricky was an honorary volunteer firefighter in Mamou; he gave his time selflessly for his community. Ricky found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially in the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

Above all, Ricky was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his children: Shelly, Mike, Jordan, Sunnie, and Windie. Ricky is also survived by his grandchildren and siblings. Their lives are a testament to his dedication and love, and they will carry forward his spirit.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Annalee and Elias Miller, his son Jeremy Miller, his nephew Joshua Miller, and his sister Diana Douget, all of whom held special places in his heart.

His life was marked by compassion, a strong sense of community, and family. Ricky Miller’s memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege to know him, and his legacy will continue in the hearts of those he loved so dearly.
