MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Richard Wayne Deshotel, Sr. announces his passing on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Savoy Care Center in Mamou. He was 65. Chapel Services will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10: 00 am. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Deacon Chuck Ortego officiating.
A loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, Richard is survived by his children Ricky Deshotel and Christy Deshotel both of Mamou one brother, Robert Kurt Fontenot of Mamou three grandchildren, Alex Deshotel, Baylee Deshotel and Brandon Deshotel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cubio and Bernadee Deshotel He is also preceded in death by his Stepfather, Burley Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, September 17 2012 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday evening.
