MAMOU Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, August 23, 2014 for LCDR Raymond M. Curran, USN, Ret age 82, resident of Mamou and native of Boston, Mass. who passed away at his home on August 21, 2014. He retired from the Navy after serving his country for 29 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ida Fontenot Curran of Mamou three sons, Alan Curran and his wife Lynn of Walker LA, Michael Curran and his wife Theresa of Pensacola, FL, Steven Curran and his wife Angela of Milton FL, two daughters, Carolyn Curran Sleeper and her husband Corydon of Townshend VT, and Elaine Curran Hill of Townshend VT. Ten grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Emma Gauthier Curran, one brother Henry Curran, one nephew, Matthew Curran and a brotherinlaw Flora Fontenot and his wife Grada Bell and brotherinlaw Sam DiMartino.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 pm A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m..
