Percy Tate

Mamou-Funeral services for Percy Tate were held on October 31,2006 2:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou La. With Father Randy Moreau Officating.

Burial followed in the New St. Anns Cemetery .

Mr. Tate a resident of Opelousas, and a native of Pine Point died on Monday morning at 12:01 a.m. at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte.

Visitation was on Monday , October 30, 2006 From 2:00 P.M.- until 10:00 P.M.Funeral Home reopen at 7:00 A.M. until time of services at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday October 31, 2006

Mr. Tate was a retired owner and operator of Tates floor covering, for many years.

Percy Tate is survived by his wife, Verdine Soileau Tate of Opelousas; two daughters, Brenda T. Guillory and husband Wayne Guillory and Marie Soileau and husband Tony Soileau both of Mamou; one son Farrar Tate and wife Theresa of Alexandria, La; eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Tate.
