MAMOU-Funeral Services will be Celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou for Orise Rider, 91, who passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old St. Anns Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin Celebrant.

He leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved and will miss him. Orise is survived by his niece, Shirley Rider Hollander of Lake Charles; two great nephews, Roderick Fontenot, Jr. and Richard Ken Fontenot, both of Mamou; two great nieces, Michelle Dunham of Dequincy and Yvonne Marie Holly of Mamou; and his brother and sister in-law, Jessie and Jane Courville

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Vidrine Rider; his parents, Houston and Laura Rider; and niece, Yvonne Rider Fontenot; and one brother, Morise Rider.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, March 22, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Monday, March 23, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
