MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, March 2, 2019, for Olivia Marie Manuel, 79, who passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in Mamou, LA surrounded by her loved ones.

Father Billy Massie, Pastor of St. Ann's Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.

Burial will take place in Reed Cemetery.

Olivia Marie Manuel was born in Church Point, LA on August 19, 1939 to Roosevelt and Anastasia B. Miller. She was a faithful member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Marie worked in the cafeteria at Mamou High School for over 22 years, and she retired from there. Her favorite word was "Go". She enjoyed shopping and loved to go out to eat. Sunday dinners were special to her, this is where she made many beautiful memories with her family. She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.

Marie leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Dwayne J. Manuel and wife Melissa and Whitney Manuel, Jr.; daughters, Jennifer Bergeron and husband Richard and Jessica Blood and husband Brian; grandchildren, Scott Bergeron, Derrick Bergeron, Joseph Bergeron, Jada Bergeron Arnaud, Samantha Manuel, and Kristen David; nine great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Duplechin.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Manuel, Sr.; parents, Roosevelt Miller and Anastasia Bourgois Miller; and brothers, Herbert Miller and Roy Miller.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Ben Soileau at 6:00 PM Friday. Visitation will resume on Saturday, Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
