Odell Chatman

MAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 11, 2009 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou for Mr. Odell Chatman, 79, who passed away on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Lafayette General Medical Center, in Lafayette, La. . Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery in Vidrine with Father Richard Broussard officiating.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children,grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Chatman is survived by his two sons, Elburn Chatman and wife, Donna and Darryl Chatman and one daughter Brenda Castro and husband, Mario all of Eunice, La ; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Odell loved gardening and raising animals.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou from 4:00 pm until time of services on Monday.

A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, at 6:30 pm.
