MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Minerva G. Baker announces her passing on Wednesday, August 20, 2012 at Basile Care Center. She was 81 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery in Mamou with Fr. Thainese Celebrant.
She leaves behind two daughters, Gwen Baker of Mamou and Pam Berzas of Duralde three brothers, Chester Granger of Mamou, Melvin Granger of Eunice and Danny Granger of Oberlin
Her memories will forever remain in the hearts of her seven grandchildren. She was further blessed with thirteen great grandchildren.
She will now rest in Heaven with her husband, Bill Baker and her parents, Maggie and Doris Vezina Granger. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
