Michelle Ardoin, a longtime resident of Reddell and a native of Ville Platte, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. At the age of 60, Michelle leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, devotion, and countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Family was the center of Michelle’s life. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family. She loved her children with all her heart and soul and always wanted the very best for them, making sure they had the love, guidance, and support they needed to succeed in life. Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart, and she was deeply involved in their lives, proudly watching them grow and celebrating their accomplishments.
Michelle found great happiness in the beauty of the outdoors, especially with her flowers. She loved tending to her yard, growing beautiful flowers, and taking pride in making her home and surroundings a place of beauty. Her flowers were a reflection of the care and love she put into everything that mattered to her. She also adored her beloved dogs, especially her Pomeranians and Yorkies, whom she lovingly considered her “fur babies.”
Michelle worked for many years at Prairie Manor Nursing Home, where she was a dedicated caregiver. Caring for others came naturally to her, and she will be remembered for the kindness she showed to those around her.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Randall Ardoin; sons, Dustin Ardoin and wife Bernadette, Kyle Ardoin and wife Kristen, Brock Ardoin and fiancé Abigael Manuel; grandchildren, Maddox, London, Easton, Anistyn, Talon, and Ahnalee. She is also survived by her brothers, Chad Fontenot and Shawn Fontenot.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Michael Fontenot and Shirley Deville of Ville Platte, and daughter-in-law, Alana Ardoin.
Though her family will deeply feel her absence, Michelle’s love will remain in the home she cherished, in the flowers she so lovingly tended, in the memories she created with her grandchildren, and most of all, in the hearts of the family she loved so completely.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou. Visitation will resume Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 8:00 A.M. until time of service with Father Arockia Doss Palthasar officiating.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 3, 2026, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Michelle will be laid to rest in the new St. Anne’s Cemetery.
