MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Michael James Allen, 62 announces his passing on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at his residence in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Pine Claire Cemetery in Pine Claire with father Thainese as Celebrant
Mr. Allen was a Forman and retired from CBI Offshore Industries with 35 years of service
A loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Michael leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Clara Louviere Allen of Mamou; his mother, Marjis Allen of Mamou; one son, Malcolm James Allen of Mamou; four daughters, Melissa Allen Porter and husband, Byrom of Little Rock,AR, Katrina Ardoin and husband, Brian of Mamou, Ashley Malbrough and husband, Brian of Church Point and Adrian Senegal and husband, Harold of Mamou; one sister, Linda Allen Boseman of New
Orleans; He was further blessed with fourteen grandchildren .They were the absolute light of his life.
He will now rest in Heaven with his father, Linton Allen, two brothers, Marshall Allen and Lennie Allen and one sister Evella Papillion; They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday Evening. The Funeral Home will reopen on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
