MAMOU-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mercidine G. Aymond, 84 announces her passing on July 30, 2016 at 11:15 p.m at her residence in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 02, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery in Mamou with Father Thainese Celebrant.
A wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mercy will be greatly missed by her three sons, Terral Aymond and wife, Sheila of Mamou, Michael Aymond and wife, Tammy of Mansfield and Gary Aymond and wife, Nanette of Mamou; three daughters, Janora Deville, Mona Willis and husband, Butch and Glenda Landreneau all of Mamou; one sister, Elda Deshotel of Mamou; nineteen grandchildren, Debbie Courville, Francine Spears, Shannon Deville, T-Dale Deville, Terra Lea Fontenot, Justin Aymond, Kristyn Marcantel, Chad Willis, Sr. Chasity Fontenot, Shelly Miller, Jordan Miller, Benjie Aymond, Danny Aymond, Michael Aymond, Colby Aymond, Travis Aymond, Franchesca Fontenot, Gary Aymond, Jr. and Kelly Aymond. Forty great-grandchildren and eleven great- great grandchildren.
Mercy will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Doris Paul Aymond, her parents, Telis and Siliman Granger, one brother, Louis Granger, two grandchildren, Timothy J. Aymond and Jeremy Miller and two sons-in-law, Francis Deville and Chris Landreneau. They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Aymond family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, August 01, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 02, 2016 from 8:00 am until time of Services.A rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 6:30 pm.
