Vidrine - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Mavis Vidrine, 86, announces her passing on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 8:30 P.M. at Savoy Care Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Ortego Cemetery with Fr.Thainese officiating.
She will surely be missed by her two daughters, Cheryl Lafleur and husband, Tony of Vidrine and Glenda Miller of Vidrine; one son, Donald Vidrine and wife, Jackie of Baton Rouge; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren
Mavis will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Viel Vidrine and her parents, Deus and Exina Berzas Bondick. They will surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts
At the request of the Vidrine family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 4:30 P.M. until time of services on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
