It is with great sadness that the family of Mary P. Coutee announces her passing on Friday August, 7, 2009 the Prompt Succor Nursing Home at the age 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Pine Claire Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry officiating.

Mrs. Coutee a resident of Mamou will be greatly missed by her four children, John Coutee and wife Eva of Oakdale, Maurice Coutee and wife Elsie, of Ville Platte, Joyce Semien Hilton of Opelousas and Shirlene Coutee of Mamou .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Coutee, one son, Joseph Calvin Coutee and one daughter, Mercedes Coutee.

At the reguest of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Mamou

On Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 7:00 am until time of services . A rosary will be recited at 10:00 am on Saturday.
