MAMOU - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Lisa Deshotel, 98, announce her passing on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 7:08A.M. at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery with Deacon Chuck Ortego officiating.
Mrs. Deshotel was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Daughters and the Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by two sons, Renston Deshotel, Sr. and wife Jenny of Mamou and Derryl J. Deshotel and wife, Sheila also of Mamou; five grandchildren, Leisa Deshotel and husband, John, Tiffany Deshotel and companion, Rusty LaFleur, Justin Deshotel and wife, Erica, Jade Deshotel, Ferryl Deshotel II and wife, Rainee; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lisa will now reunite in Heaven with her husband, Etley Joseph Deshotel, two sons, Ferryl James Deshotel and Rodney Paul Deshotel; also one grandson Renston "Joe" Deshotel, Jr.
They surely await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Deshotel family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday afternoon by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
