MAMOU – Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, for Lisa Marie Boutte, 54, who passed away peacefully on January 5, 2020 in Mamou, LA surrounded by her loving family.
Pastor Terry Lafleur will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Lisa Marie Boutte was born in Mamou, LA to Kermit Joseph Lavergne and Gloria Gail Menier. Lisa was the epitome of what a wife, daughter, sister, friend and all-around person, should be. She was so full of life, love and compassion with a spirit like wildfire. She loved hard, she loved selflessly, and she loved generously without condition. She had an unrelenting strength and resilience. No matter what life threw at her, she always kept on striving and pushing and always encouraged others to do the same. She found joy in the simple things of life. She had an incredibly admirable posture of humility. She had a smile that could light up the darkest of places, a hug that could thaw the coldest of hearts, and the ability to make a person feel like family with just her presence. She knew no strangers, and to know her was to love her. She was a caregiver by nature. She found fulfillment, purpose, and happiness in ensuring the care of the people she loved. She was beautiful, talented and smart. She was fierce and brave, but kind and gentle too. She was loved, adored and cherished by so many and we miss her already. But, most of all, she was, she is, and she always will be the daughter of the King. The Father to whom she is most precious to, who looks at her with nothing but inconceivable love, pride, and joy. The God of all creation, who now has His great big, loving arms wrapped so comfortingly around her, and is welcoming her home. She is where she's meant to be, where we're all meant to be. And oh, what a day it will be to once again be reunited with our precious Lisa. To once again feel her embrace, and to see her beautiful smile. But until then we will celebrate her life and take comfort in the promise to come. Bye dawg! You will be missed, but never forgotten. “We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Let Your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone.” (Psalm 33:20-22)
She is survived by her husband of 3 years and together for 10, Corey Boutte; her mother, Gloria Orr and husband, Jerry; her father, Kermit Lavergne; and wife Janet; daughter, Ariel Williamson; two sisters, Rhonda Benoit and husband, Joseph and Mia Lavergne; three brothers, Anthony Lavergne and wife, Amber, Paul Reed, Jeff Orr and wife, Melissa and Cole Lavergne and wife, Ashia; grandmother-in-law, Bernadine Boutte, and numerous nieces and nephews.
