MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Lionel T. Ardoin, 78 announce his passing on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 3:25 pm at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Thainese Celebrant.

Lionel will be greatly missed by his two children, Patrick Chapman and wife Stephanie and Franella Faye Chapman all of Ville Platte five grandchildren, Monica, Andre, Greg, Fonda and Kylie and nine greatgrandchildren He was also survived by several nieces and nephews he was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Guillory Ardoin, his parents, Tansey and Teah Dupre Ardoin, four brothers, Calvin, J.C. , Leander and Sherald Ardoin three sisters, Hazel LeDoux ,Verlie LaFleur and Elsie Mae Ardoin and one grandchild, Brice.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The Funeral Home will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday evening by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
