It is with saddened hearts that Mrs. Linda Ardoin has passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 3:50 pm at her residence following a long illness. She was born July 17, 1934 in Vidrine, La. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 2:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church with Father Bryce Sibley officiating. Interment will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum.

Linda graduated Salutatorian from Vidrine High School in 1952. She owned and operated Ardoins Food Store on Main Street in Mamou, from 1966 to 1980. After closure of the store, she began working as a teller a Guaranty Bank in Mamou from 1981 until her retirement in 1999.

Linda was an active member of St. Anns parish. She received the KEUNS Mother of the Year Award in 1995. Linda enjoyed going to the camp and hunt deer and squirrel with her long time companion and dear friend, Hosea Fuselier. She also liked to fish, but Lindas greatest pleasure was being with her family that dearly loved.

She is survived by her 5 children, Stephanie and Tim Asmussen of Zackary, La, Steve and Becky Benson of Ville Platte, La, Mitch Benson of Mamou, La, Paula and John Fruge and Lisa Benson Young, all of Eunice, La eight grandchildren , Jennifer and Chip Broome, Jill and Greg Hodges, Layna and Rusty Christ, Brad Benson, Katie Fruge, John Micheal Fruge, Madison Young, and Erin Young two greatgrandchildren, Emma Hodges and William Hodges.

The family has requested that visitation be on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 4:00pm10:00pm and again on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 8:00am until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Roderick Perron at 6:30pm Thursday evening.
