MAMOUA wonderful mother, grandmother , greatgrandmother, and friend , Laveta Bogard, will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Laveta died peacefully on Saturday, August 29,2010 at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 84. A service will be Celebrated on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 10:00 am at The First Baptist Church in Pine Prairie with the Rev. Keith Sheridan officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in the Oretgo Cemetery.
Laveta leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her loving daughters Susan Menier of Walker and Nona Lafleur and husband Larry of Vidrine four grandchildren Troy Menier and wife Christina of Denham Springs, Scot Menier and wife Monica of Katy, Texas, Shane Lafleur and wife Shelly of Vidrine, Desha Watson and husband Jerrette of Alexandria eight greatgrandchildren, Austin and Dylan Menier, Marisa and Taylor Menier, and Sidney, Baylee, and Kasey Lafleur, and Ainslee Watson.
The family requests that visitation take place on Monday, August 30, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Ardoin Funeral Home in Mamou.
