Larry Rheinhard Bieber, born on Tuesday, May 31, 1949, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, in Mamou. Larry’s life was marked by his love for farming, and he approached each day with a spirit that was both funny and easy-going, taking everything in stride. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Bieber Camp, where he loved making memories with family and friends. Burial will follow in the Bieber Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Howe officiating services.
Larry was a dedicated rice farmer for 52 years, a career that was deeply intertwined with his passion for the land he cultivated. In the Mamou community, he was known for his contributions as the chairman of the Mamou Fire District and as a dedicated board member of the Mamou Drainage District, highlighting his commitment to the safety and well-being of his community.
His life was enriched by hobbies such as attending auctions, camping, and taking care of his fur baby, Lola which brought him great joy. Larry's remarkable journey was shaped not only by his professional achievements but also by the cherished moments he created with loved ones.
Larry was a good father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family. He leaves behind a loving companion of 37 years, Pamela Manuel; son, Kody Bieber; and three daughters, Anna Kidder (Ray), Josey Manuel, and Jacey Manuel. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his five grandchildren: Heather Manuel (Grant), Heidi Bieber (Andrew Jaireau), Brock Bieber (Allie), Kadence Kidder, and Emberly Manuel and four great-grandchildren, Anne, James, Claire, and Austin Manuel. He is also survived by his former wife, Paula Bieber
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Rheinhard and Marie Engelbrecht Bieber, and a son, Joseph Cross Manuel.
Family and friends are invited to honor Larry’s life during a visitation at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary, led by Deacon Gary Gaudin, being prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue Monday, November 3, 2025, from 8:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Bieber Camp, located at 3026 Bieber Road in Mamou.
Larry Rheinhard Bieber’s spirit and legacy will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
