MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Friday, July 24, 2020 for Juanita Fuselier Young, 87, who passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 in Mamou, LA surrounded by her loving family.
Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.
Entombment will take place in New St. Ann's Mausoleum.
Juanita Fuselier Young was born on July 20, 1933 to Alexson and Dulea Vige Fuselier. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crochet, and crafting for her family and charity. Juanita’s greatest joy, though, was that of spending time with and caring for her family. She was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a loving homemaker. Her greatest joy, though, was that of spending time with and caring for her family. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
Juanita is survived by her children, Melinda Lodge and husband Richard of Bossier City, Randall Young and wife Jerri of Mamou, Melody Pierrotti and husband Marion of Mamou, Rhett Young and wife Sally of Ville Platte, Manon Deloach and husband Ernie of Vidrine, and Robin Young and wife Missy of Mamou; grandchildren, Megan Lodge, Ashley Fontenot and husband Sam, Lauren Key and husband Tim, Raymond Young, Dr. Steven Young and wife Caroline, Katlin Begnaud and husband Jared, Ross Deloach and wife Amy, Gabrielle Rider and husband Steven, Cesily Wilson, Mallory Young, and Marissa Young; step-grandchildren, Brian Pierrotti and wife Kimberly, Michelle Kidder and husband Troy, and Dawn Pierrotti; 12 great-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren; sister, Marsha Reed and husband Charles of Mamou; and brother, Alex Fuselier of North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roderick (Dicky) Young, her parents, Alexson and Dule Vige Fuselier; brother, Harold Fuselier, and sisters, Jenella Manuel and Priscilla Landreneau.
A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Ann's Catholic Church.
