Joyceann Theresa Prestenback, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 19, 2026, in Mamou. Born on September 17, 1968, Joyceann graced the world with her presence for 57 years, leaving behind a legacy defined by her love, strength, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

Joyceann earned an associate’s degree in Business. Beyond her educational achievements, she had an array of passions that filled her life with joy and creativity. She found true contentment in homemaking, taking great pride in creating a warm, clean, and welcoming environment. She enjoyed printing and keeping pictures with those she cherished. She enjoyed the comfort of a good book and the magic of movies. 

Those who knew Joyceann were touched by her lively spirit and resilient character. She was regarded as very strong, able to face life’s ups and downs with courage and grace. Above all, her profound love for her family set her apart; she cherished her children and grandchildren beyond measure. Joyceann’s dedication was evident in the countless ways she went out of her way to let her children know just how deeply she loved them. Her family was not only her pride, but undoubtedly her proudest accomplishment and greatest joy.

Joyceann is survived by her loving children: Daniel Alario III, Jonathan Alario (Julie), David Alario, Jennifer Levert (Scott), and Meagan Lehmann (Brandon). She also leaves behind her brothers, Michael Prestenback and Lloyd "Chico" Rivere Jr.. The next generation continues her legacy through her cherished grandchildren: John, Gabriel, Katherine, Gabriella, Brayleigh, Weston, and Daniel lV. Each of them carries forward her spirit and the many lessons she so generously imparted.

She is reunited in rest with her father, Lloyd Rivere, and her mother, Patricia.

Joyceann’s life was characterized by her deep commitment to those she loved, her zest for living, and her enduring devotion to family. Her presence will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
