MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Joe Guillory announces his passing at the Savoy Care Center in Mamou at the age of 89. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou. Entombment will follow in the New St. Ann Mausoleum with Brother David Plunkett officiating.

Joseph known as Joe to all who knew him, was retired from the Merchant Marines and the Scott Paper Company. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Joe will be missed greatly by his wife, Beverly Hicks Guillory of Mamou daughter, Heidi Byrne and husband, Jack of Middle Village, N.Y. stepdaughter, Karen McVeigh and husband, Dennis of Chadds Ford, PA stepbrother, Johnny Pommier of Opelousas three sisters, Berna Kuntze of Mamou, Joyce Powell of Eunice, and Bernice Siebert of Mamou stepsister, Emily Duke of Eunice four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Wanda M. Guillory parents, Yourick and Jeanne Tourte Guillory daughter, Melonie Guillory and brother, Burley Guillory.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of Services.
