MAMOU - Funeral services will be held at a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, July 25, 2020, for John Shelton Deville, 72, who passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
John Shelton Deville was born in Mamou, Louisiana on June 7, 1948 to Anna Belle Vidrine and Joesph Roosevelt Deville
Shelton is survived by his son, Troy Noah Deville and his companion, Sybil Comeaux of Mamou; four grandchildren, Rebecca Vidrine, Jessica Deville, Troy Deville and Kelsea Milligan; nine great grandchildren, Madison, Gavin, Riley and Adley Vidrine, Kortlyn, Cohen, Jonah and Titus Deville and Cain Milligan; two sisters, Sandra Deville Perron of Mamou and Angela Deville Nichols of Hattisburg, MS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Roosevelt Deville and Anna Belle Vidrine Deville; two brothers, Joseph Francis Deville and Roger Dale Deville; and two sisters, Verona Deville Fontenot and Clarice Deville Miller.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 9:30 AM until time of service.
