Mamou It is with great sadness that the family of JoAnn Fontenot, 70 announces her passing on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Savoy Care Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reed Cemetery with Fr. Jude Celebrant.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, JoAnn will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kerry Chapman of Centerville, La. a daughter, Marsha Cortez of Mamou five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hadley Chapman parents, Moise and Rouma Fontenot and a son, Charles Chapman.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
