MAMOU - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, for James Davis "JD" Ardoin, 81 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie at 4:00 P.M. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery with Father Kenneth Mayne as Celebrant.
Mr. Ardoin was retired from the Evangeline Parish Police Jury.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, JD will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Jane Nell Fontenot Ardoin, of
Pine Prairie; one daughter, Pamela Guillory, and husband, Charles, of Pine
Prairie; two sons, Teddy Ardoin and wife, Bernice, of Pine Prairie, and Chris Ardoin and Misty of Pine Prairie; four sisters, Dorothy Evans, Mary Savant both of Pine Prairie , Betty Guillory of Fairhope, Alabama and Judy Simar of Evangeline; one brother, Darrel Ardoin of Bastrop;six grandchildren, Holly Guillory, Whitney Guillory, Tib Guillory, all of Pine Prairie, Levi Guillory of Monroe, Brody Ardoin of Ville Platte, and Tyler James Ardoin of Pine Prairie; nine great-grandchildren, Madison Jones, Gracie McCall, Jackson Guillory, Maximus Marcantel, Rhett and Tripp Guillory, Roman and Arabella Deshotel, and Edith Guillory.
He will now rest in Heaven with one son, James Ricky "Blackie: Ardoin; one brother, Wade Ardoin; one sister ,Maxie Reed; and his parents, Cliff and Edna Ardoin.
They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family visitation will be held on Tuesday April 26, 2016 from 5:00
P.M. until 10 P.M.. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 Tuesday evening. The Funeral Home will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services
