Holly Rae Manuel Chapman passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023, in Midland, Texas at the age of 44. She was born on December 26, 1979, in Mamou to Ray Anthony Manuel and Jennifer Lynn Ware Manuel. Holly was a 1998 graduate of Mamou Highschool. After graduation she married the love of her life, Robert Chapman with whom she shared 23 wonderful years. She prided herself on being a homemaker, wife and mother. Holly’s hobbies included reading and listening to music. She loved the movies Gone with the Wind, North and South, Anne of Green Gables and Steel Magnolias. The most important thing in Holly’s life was her family.  Her parents were her best friends. She always made it a priority to call her parents, siblings, and extended family just to see what was going on in their lives and to let them know how much she loved them. Holly enjoyed the holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as just a good get-together for they presented the perfect opportunity to spend time with her family and friends.

Holly is survived by her husband, Robert Chapman of Midland, TX; daughter, Emma Lynn Chapman pf Midland, TX; parents, Ray Anthony Manuel and Jennifer Lynn Ware Manuel of Mamou; siblings, Heather Ray Manuel of Mamou, Matthew Anthony (Bubba) Manuel of Mamou, and Haley Rae Manuel Lejeune of Eunice; nephews, Gabriel Johnston, Hayden Johnston, Kagen Lejeune, and Donnie Gobert Jr.; and nieces, Allie Ray Fitch and Lexie Gobert.

Holly was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elathey “Bill” Ware Sr., Carrie Ann Ware, Lilly Mae Bertrand and Bobby Gene Bertrand.

At the request of the family, a visitation will be held at Sanctuary of Praise Sunday, July 30, 2023, from 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM and will continue on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Sanctuary of Praise officiated by Donald and Patricia Duplechain. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
