MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Harris McGee announces his passing on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Lafayette General Hospital. He was 70 years old. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2011 at Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg with Brother Caleb Semien officiating.

Harris loved to fish, hunt and garden and also enjoyed listening to the coffee cup morning show, Taus de Coffe on KVPI. Harris leaves behind and loving and caring family including his two sons, Ricky McGee and fianc, Rachel LeJeune, and Robert McGee and fianc, Misty Grossie, all of Mamou daughter, Belinda M. Childress and husband, Wesley of Mamou two brothers, Lionel McGee of Chataignier and Steve McGee of Mamou sister, Mary McGee of Reserve one godchild, Ferral Mcgee of Chataignier, and was also blessed with seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

He now rests in Heaven with his parents, Paul and Evaestie McGee, and a son, Paul Harris McGee.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of Services
