MAMOU - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Haddie Granger, 93, announces her passing on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Kountze Nursing Center in Kountze, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou, Louisiana with Rite of Committal to follow in the Reed Cemetery with Father Thianese officiating services.
A loving mother and grandmother, Haddie leaves behind her daughter Verona Faye Johnson and husband James of Kountze, Texas. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her three grandchildren: Barron Fonte' Young, James G. Johnson II, and Kristi Lynn Johnson and three great grandchildren: Colby Blake Johnson, Kati Lynn Collins, and Braelyn Michelle Johnson.
She now rests in Heaven with her husband Mervin Young, her parents Estelle Lee and Esther Granger, her son Harlan Dale Young and her grandson Harlan Dale Young, Jr.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou, Louisiana on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM and again on Saturday, January 2 from 8:00 AM until time of services.
