MAMOU It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Gula O. Guillory announces her passing on Friday, May 27, 2011 at her home in Mamou, at the age of 88. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Interment will follow in the New St. Ann Mausoleum with Father Chanah officiating.

Gula, a loving mother, sister and friend will be sadly missed by her daughter, Stephanie Guillory of Mamou stepsister, Shirley McGee Perry of Crowley and her beloved pets, Sasha, Noogie, and Mitsie. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Laten Guillory her parents, Jean Batiste and Bernadette Welch Ortego and stepmother, Lelia Courville Ortego.

At the request of the Guillory family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm, and again on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 8:00 am until time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Friday evening.
