MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the passing of their beloved, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Gracie G. Gradney, on September 5, 2010 at Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Wylie, Texas at the age of 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the Old St. Ann Cemetery with Father Jude Theirry officiating.

She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her son, Dalbis Dwight Gradney, Jr. of Oberlin, LA two daughters, Roslyn G. Victorian of Oberlin, LA and Sherry G. Bowman of Plano, TX one brother, Louis Gradney of Mamou, LA ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Gracie now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Dalbis D. Gradney, Sr. three brothers, Sullivan Gradney, J. B. Gradney, and John Gradney Fabous, Jr. and three sisters, Laura Gradney, Ida Gradney, and Lucy Gradney.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Tuesday evening.
