MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Gladwood McGee announces his passing on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Heart Hospital Of Lafayette at 1:37 am. He was 89 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann Cemetery with Fr. Mark Melancon Celebrant.
He leaves behind a loving and caring family including his wife of 67 years, Lillie McGee of Mamou three daughters, Brenda Fruge and husband Johnny of Mamou, Linda Zimmerman and husband, Michael of Colorado Springs, Co, and Tina McGee of Mamou one sister, Evelyn Hamilton of Westlake, La. Eight grandchildren, twentythree great grandchildren and one greatGreat grandchild, and a host of other family and friends .
He now rests in Heaven with his parents, Janius and Lydia Mcgee one son, Tommy McGee, two brothers, and one sister.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 pm. Family and friends may view the obituary, sign the guestbook, andor send condolences online at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
